Happy New Year. This year we have a lot to be thankful for as we wrap up our best year ever at Naked Feet shoes to date. So cheers to you and thank you to all of our supporters and staff.

We will be continuing to highlight inspiring women in our WITW (Women in the Workplace series). In celebrating this past year's success, today we'll be interviewing one of our own – Carmen Glass, Key Account Manager & Analyst.

Join us as Carmen shares her experience working for our small team here at the Naked Feet home office, and gives us a first glimpse at what to expect for the SS22 collection.

WHAT YOUR TYPICAL DAY?

"A typical day usually involves a few meetings-involving anything from product development to sales strategy.

One perk of working for a small company is that I get to wear many hats.

I'm heavily involved in product development, key account management, pricing, and analysis. Recently I've been more focused on the product side of things, as our Fall 2022 lines will be debuted soon- which I'm so excited about!" – Carmen Glass, Key Account Manager & Analyst

NAKE SOME OF YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS – AND FAILURES, AND HOW YOU OVERCAME THEM.

"One of my biggest accomplishments is how I've moved up to a more managerial/leadership position in a short amount of time. I work hard and I'm proud of that.

There are always things that I wish I could do better- one is organization. I am not organized whatsoever and it's something I am trying to get better at."

WHAT DOES BEING A WOMAN IN THE WORKPLACE MEAN TO YOU, AND HOW DO OU ASPIRE TO GROW AND DEVELOP YOUR CAREER?
"Being a woman in the workplace is so many different things. Right now, it means working harder to be taken seriously. I'm hoping that changes, but it will take some time. I think in the women's fashion industry, it helps to be a woman because it connects you more with the product, audience, etc. However, women are still lacking in this industry, which is crazy to me!"

TELL US WHO YOU ARE, WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU, AND YOUR PASSIONS AFTER WORK.
"My name is Carmen Glass, and I'm in my late twenties living in Virginia. I have worked in the fashion industry since before I graduated college and I can't imagine working in any other industry.

Family, friends, and my dogs are important to me. I feel really lucky to have these people (including my dogs) in my life. I also really care about the environment and try my best to take actions that will make the environment a better place.

I love dinners with friends and family, being outside, television, and reading."

HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR PERSONAL STYLE TO YOU, AND HOW DO YOU REPRESENT THAT DURING AND AFTER WORK HOURS?

"My personal style is my way of expressing myself-down to the mood I'm in that day.

Some days I dress up and some days I don't feel like it, but I always try to incorporate my personal style into what I'm wearing."

HOW DOES NAKED FEET HELP OU CONQUER YOUR DAY?
"Naked Feet has been one of my favorite brands for a few years now.

The best thing about the shoes is that they're comfortable enough to wear all day, even if they don't look like it. I think that's kind of rare with women's footwear.

I love how versatile the styles are. I can wear them with sweatpants or a dress-it's great."

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FOR THE UPCOMING SS22 COLLECTION? ANY INSIDER DETAILS YOU CAN SPILL? 
"Sure! Expect platforms, patents, and pretty neutrals."
